The Draa is a dreamy valley, an oasis that stretches for dozens of kilometres, where green waters mingle with splendid palm groves and fruit gardens.
The most spectacular landscapes pass along the 200 km between Agdz and Mhamid. Beyond, the dunes of the desert take shape, but before arriving there, destination Zagora!
DAY 1: CASABLANCA - MARRAKECH - AIT BENHADOU - OUARZAZATE - DRAA VALLEY - ZAGORA
Departure is from Casa at 5:00 am, taking the road through Marrakech, the High Atlas over the Tizi n'Tichka pass to Ait Benhaddou village, the fortified ksar with its beautiful Kasbahs. Ait Benhaddou has been used as a natural backdrop for many film producers since 1960.once you arrive at Ait Benhaddou village.
Then you will head to Ouarzazate for lunch near the famous Kasbah of Taourirt which presents the historical and cultural interest of Ouarzazate. After lunch, you travel southwards through the second pass which is Tizi N'Tnifift at 1710m and Ait Saoun village, the old caravan route for traders from the Sahara "Tombouktou", you will reach the first administrative centre called "Agdez Village" which marks the source of the Draa Valley, with its 6 palm groves that follow each other (Mezguita palm grove, Fezouata ...) and its Kasbahs citing the famous Kasbah of Tamnougalt.
You will continue through lunar landscapes and pre-Sahara routes to Zagora, which is a small town, the birthplace of the Saadian dynasty (Saadian tombs in Marrakech) who ruled Morocco in the 17th century.
You will take a camel ride, set the sun and go to the bivouac, dinner and overnight in tents.
DAY 2: ZAGORA - AGDEZ - OUARZAZATE - TICHKA - MARRAKECH
Wake up early in the morning to see the sunrise over the dunes, followed by a typical breakfast in the bivouac of Zagora in the south of Morocco, then return trip by camel to meet your driver. Back to Marrakech, you will pass by Ouarzazate where you will have free time for lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will continue through the Atlas Mountains to get to Marrakech.
