Discover and explore the Berber countryside in the heart of the High Atlas Mountains. See desert, valleys, villages and plains on a full-day excursion from Marrakech.
Let us take you first to the Agafay desert, just south of Marrakech, for a thrilling ride through the dunes, before heading to the Lalla Takerkoust region and making your first stop at the hills overlooking the lake.
From here, start your 4×4 adventure on dusty tracks rarely frequented by tourists and climb up to the Kik plateau to reach various villages. Meet the locals, visit Berber houses and be treated to mint tea and homemade bread.
On arrival at the village of Imlil, in the heart of the Toubkal National Park, choose if you wish to take part in a 1-hour hike to the village of Armed, or continue by 4×4.
The hike is accompanied by a local guide and is of moderate difficulty. In the village, enjoy a Berber lamb tagine and lunch in a local house. Try Moroccan salads and homemade bread with your meal.
Once you've eaten your lunch and taken a short break to relax, drive down a gently sloping hill to the village of Imlil. There, meet your driver for the 1-hour drive back to Marrakech across the Haouz plains.
