Your tour begins with a 10:00 pick-up from your accommodation in Fez. You'll then set off on a journey through the sublime, ever-changing landscapes of the Moroccan hinterland. Your first stop will be the enchanting Chahed River, a splendid landscape with spectacular views.
Then drive on to Volubilis, a site of ancient Roman remains dating back to the 3rd century BC. Here, get a glimpse of the Roman Empire and admire its fascinating architecture and majestic details as you photograph the Caracalla Arch. Your 2nd stop will be Moulay Driss Zerhoun, where you'll have free time to explore this sacred village that was the birthplace of Idrîs I, the first Moroccan head of state, who initiated the Islamization of Morocco.
Stroll through its ancient streets and admire its magnificent architecture. Then off to Meknes, whose 17th-century heritage makes it the ideal place to visit the historic heart, and discover the medina's imposing walls, superb handicrafts and small traditional stores. You can also admire the city's magnificent gateway, Bab Mansour el-Aleuj, with its well-preserved "zellige" (traditional Moorish mosaic).
Then visit the Shrine of Moulay Ismail to discover the fascinating life of this sultan and his many achievements. Explore other fascinating historical sites, such as the mausoleum and the rouah, as well as the royal stables, home to over 12,000 horses. Finally, discover Place el-Hedim, a pedestrian square in the heart of the medina. After this unforgettable visit, you'll be taken back to your accommodation in Fez.
